Air fryer roasted carrots area great way to enjoy healthy carrots simply. It doesn’t take much time to get a fantastic carrot side dish ready for dinner. Quick and easy air fried carrots is going to be on your weekly menu list. It’s hard to not love these. But best of all, the texture can be al dente or crispy. Thats the wonderful thing about cooking carrots in the air fryer: you cook them to your preferred texture.  The hot circulating air in the air fryer makes the carrots crispy and concentrated with wonderful carrot flavor.  The thickness of the carrots varies the cooking time, so just cheep checking on the carrots until they are perfect to your liking!

Cooking Times will vary depending on how thick your carrots are and the size that you cut them. Also, air fryers cook differently too. Some cook quicker and hotter than other models.  So consider your first batch a “test’ to see how long it takes for you to get to the texture that you prefer. Some folks like their carrots softer while others like it with more of a “bite”.

Air Fried Carrots Recipe

This is a simple and great carrot recipe by you can add some garlic or garlic powder, whatever herbs or other seasonings you prefer. Air fried carrots is such a quick & easy side dish. You can easily double this in most air fryers and still cook in a single batch. If you are increasing the quantities more than that, you might need to cook in a couple batches.

  • 1/2 lb. (227 g) carrots , peeled
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (4.935 ml) dried herbs (thyme, basil, mint, etc.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) kosher salt , or to taste
  • Black pepper , to taste



  • Wash the fresh carrots. Slice the carrots diagonally in 1/2-inch thick slices. Combine the olive oil, herbs, salt & pepper in a bowl. Add the carrots and toss to evenly combine. Place the carrots in the air fryer basket.
  • Air Fry at 360°F for 10-15 minutes or until your desired texture.

If your air fryer is preheated or if you are cooking multiple batches, you may need to reduce timing by a few minutes (unless preheating is called for in the recipe).
